What is the Southern Colorado Impact Group?

The Southern Colorado Impact Group is a community-focused organization dedicated to driving positive change in Southern Colorado through social initiatives, economic development, and environmental sustainability. We aim to empower communities by fostering collaboration, supporting local initiatives, and promoting sustainable growth that benefits individuals and businesses alike.


How can I get involved?

There are many ways to get involved! You can volunteer, donate, attend events, or partner with us on community projects. 


What are the PRISM Awards?

The PRISM Awards recognize social entrepreneurs in Southern Colorado who are dedicated to creating lasting social and environmental impact. Since 2017, these awards have celebrated businesses that go beyond profit—championing community involvement, addressing pressing social and environmental challenges, and driving innovative solutions that create meaningful change in the region.


What are the award categories?

  • Social Entrepreneur of the Year: Recognizes individuals achieving systemic      and sustainable social change through innovation.
  • Social Impact Business of the Year: Honors established businesses that      demonstrate a clear social, environmental, or community impact.
  • Social Impact Startup of the Year: Celebrates young businesses incorporating      social impact strategies with a vision for growth and problem-solving.

Who were the 2024 PRISM Award winners?

  • Social Impact Startup of the Year: Mentally Ill, LLC
  • Social Impact Business of the Year (Tie): Adam & Son Auto Repair and      Service; Colorado Industrial Recycling
  • Social      Entrepreneur of the Year: Kris Lewis, Executive Director & CEO of      Pikes Peak Habitat for Humanity


What types of events and classes does Southern Colorado Impact Group offer?

We host a variety of events, workshops, and educational programs focused on fostering community engagement and promoting social impact. These may include networking events, business development workshops, and sustainability-focused seminars.

What is BBB4Good?

BBB4Good is a program that helps businesses become "BBB4Good Verified" by vetting their social good activities through the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This verification empowers consumers to support businesses that reflect their values while helping purpose-driven businesses stand out in the marketplace.


How can I recommend a purpose-driven business?

Our website provides an option to recommend businesses that prioritize social and environmental good.
